Article Discussion - RCSD Student receives $88K Scholarship

I'm late but on the discussion board now; the article isn't linked any more. Considering your comments about a big scholarship for a RCSD student, I do wonder how common such scholarships are. If not common, better wording may have been "less-common award and a proud accomplishment" as "unexpected" has a different feel.

That said, it's great news, and I hope some kids who are on the cusp of great success feel a little more motivated to keep working hard; and teachers and administrators who may feel fatigue from the challenges of the toughest students can keep up their own hope and energy to help all the kids including the next generation of scholarship winners.

I'd rather see this covered than more of the negative numbers for absenteeism, etc.
